Q: I have a recipe for Chocolate Turtle Cake, but I'm having a hard time finding two of the recipe's ingredients: chocolate extract and dulce de leche ice cream topping? Any advice on where I can find them? Jasmine D., Poole, KY
A: Thanks for the question, Jasmine. I ran the question by Natalie Brown, one of our Assistant Food Editors (who just so happens to be one of our resident baking experts), and here's what she says.
Chocolate extract can be purchased online from King Arthur Flour (Natalie has also purchased it at Whole Foods).
As for dulce de leche ice cream topping, Natalie uses the one made by Smucker's, which she says is found on the "end cap" of the ice cream aisle of her local grocery store (next to the other ice cream toppings, syrups, and cones).
