It's never too early to shop for the food lover in your life (or that friend or family member who seems to be the host or hostess with the mostess).  That said, check out the new Crock-Pot Trio Cook & Serve slow cooker.  It's a slam dunk!

I don't get excited about much, especially when it comes to gimmicky kitchen gadgets and equipment.  But when I got an email announcing this beauty, I immediately feel in love.  In fact, I kicked back in my chair and dreamed of the combos one could create to fill the three individual crocks (NOTE: each of the 2.5qt. crocks has its own temperature setting).

Trio_cook_serveCouple of other cool tid-bits:  The stoneware crocks and clear glass lids are dishwasher safe.  Awesome!  Plus, each crock has an integrated spoon notch, so folks don't have to fish for the serving utensil at the bottom of the queso dip.

This sturdy, super-functional unit retails for about $80, and is available at Target stores (exclusively, at this point) or on the Crock-Pot website.

Don't forget to subscribe to Eating My Words -- it's free and delicious.
